Robert Challe, a shopkeeper
from Normandy, creates a shirtmaker business: Liste Rouge.
With a workshop located above his retail shop, Challe’s business
grows quickly, and he soon hires several tailors to work for him.

1939 - 1940: |
During World War II, the army requisitions
the shop to have uniforms made. However, Mrs. Challe keeps the business running
while Robert is at war.

| 1955: |
The company continues to grow and earns
a reputation for creating the finest custom shirts from the most luxurious
fabrics available.

| 1978: |
Robert Challe dies. His wife keeps the
company running, just as she had done during the war.

| 1981: |
Workshop is relocated in Flers, Normandy,
and the first mail-order catalogue is produced.
|
| 1995: |
Michel Monier buys the company and first
opens an exclusive showroom in Place Vendôme, Paris.

| 1998: |
Opening of the Paris flagship store (3,875
square feet), located rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
Liste Rouge expands its mail order business and targets the Japanese
market by opening a showroom in Tokyo.

| 1999: |
Launch of the European website www.listerouge.fr allowing
customers to design their own shirts online and place an order at their convenience.
|
| 2003: |
Liste Rouge targets the North American
market by opening an office in New York.
Launch of the American website: www.listerouge-paris.com

| 2004: |
Liste Rouge opens a showroom in New York,
located in the Financial District.
|
| 2006: |
Liste Rouge launches a custom-made cashmere
line in the US.
The New York showroom and offices are relocated Midtown East, on Madison
Avenue. |
